Elijah has been enjoying this new world for one week and is feeling fine. He would like to personally thank all of the people that have helped to make this week so special and to make him (and us) feel so cared for.... all the visits in the hospital, the sweet aunts who have loved on him, the people who have come by to peep at his little face and bring food and presents. We are surrounded by a generous community... what a blessing for a new little life.
His grandparents are especially dear for all they have done, whether near or slightly further, this kid is set for life with giving and wise grandparents who have poured love all over him. Thanks for coming up, Teresa and Duncan! And mom... that blackberry cobbler is love personified.Elijah wants to send a special hello today to those keeping up from afar, especially Robbie Hall. We are thinking of you and praying for quick healing... Do you like the tractor, Robbie? Elijah can't wait for you to show him a thing or two on the farm!

Elijah, you are so cute, I can't stand it! Those look like some happy grandparents you have there. Keep up the good work!
Beth, I can't wait to hear all about him. If you are up at 5:30 in the morning, there's a good chance I am too, and we could talk then, but I doubt either of us would have much to say at that time of day.
Is it strange to miss someone so much that you haven't even met yet? I cry every time I see his sweet little face, and since I keep checking back every day for more pictures, there's a lot of happy crying going on around here. (Some unhappy crying, too, among some nameless cousins, but that's about a certain plastic white horse and has nothing to do with Elijah.)
Tonight Wyatt prayed that Elijah would be a safe baby. The boys are planning which of their favorite toys to give to Elijah. We miss him (and you, too, very much) and love you all,
Amy
Adorable! Love the blog and love getting to see all the great pictures of Elijah!
